About Us

People R Us is a 24-hour residential treatment program designed for male and female adolescents ages 13 to 21 who are involved in child welfare services and dealing with health challenges. Our program offers trauma-informed care (TIC) in a supportive, short-term living environment for those recovering from mental health issues, delinquency, and other social difficulties.
People R Us is community residential program based in Philadelphia that provides a 24-hour residential day treatment program for adolescents aged 13 to 20. Our program is designed to support youth involved in child welfare systems and those facing mental health, behavioral, or substance use challenges. We operate with a focus on trauma-informed care (TIC) and restorative practices to ensure a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for every young person in our care.

We offer a structured community living environment that includes therapeutic services, academic and clinical support, recreational activities, and skill-building opportunities. Our goal is not only to treat immediate issues but to help youth develop emotional regulation, healthy decision-making, and resilience that will carry into adulthood.

Family involvement and collaboration are central to our approach. We work closely with caregivers, caseworkers, and support systems to ensure consistent communication and shared progress. Our services include individual therapy, family therapy, group sessions, community outings, supervised family visits, and more—each designed to meet the unique needs of every individual we serve.

At People R Us, inclusivity, empathy, and empowerment are at the core of our work. We believe healing happens in connection with staff, with family, and with community.
